So sánh nhất và not as … as
- Tính từ ngắn: the + adj-est (+ in/of …)
- Tính từ dài: the most + adj (+ in/of …)
- S1 + to be + not as + adj + as + S2
So sánh nhất dùng khi so một người/vật với cả nhóm: the cheapest shop in the market. Tính từ ngắn thêm -est, tính từ dài dùng the most; luôn có the ở trước. Sau so sánh nhất dùng in + nơi chốn/nhóm lớn (in the city, in my family) và of + số lượng/khoảng thời gian (of the three, of the year). not as … as nghĩa là "không … bằng": My bag is not as expensive as yours = túi của tôi rẻ hơn.

- not as … as giữ nguyên tính từ (không thêm -er): not as cheap as (không nói *not as cheaper as*).
- Ôn so sánh hơn: This shop is cheaper THAN that shop.

Sau so sánh nhất: in + nhóm/nơi chốn.
✗ My phone is not as expensive than your phone.
✓ My phone is not as expensive as your phone.
as … as, không dùng than.
