Dạng Discussion yêu cầu trình bày quan điểm của NGƯỜI KHÁC rồi mới đến quan điểm của bạn. Để giám khảo thấy rõ ai nghĩ gì, dùng động từ tường thuật ở hiện tại: argue (lập luận), claim (cho rằng, có thể chưa đúng), believe, feel. Mẫu bị động khách quan 'It is often argued that …' nghe học thuật và giúp tránh lặp 'some people'. Chuyển sang ý kiến của bạn bằng I believe / In my view — đừng trộn lẫn hai phần.
