Bài 1 · Trắc nghiệm

Skimming: đọc lướt trong 90 giây (chỉ đọc câu đầu mỗi đoạn và các từ nối), rồi chọn ý chính của từng đoạn.

A Many Vietnamese students spend a lot of time on schoolwork. Besides lessons at school, they go to extra classes in the evening and at weekends. For some teenagers, the school day ends at nine or ten o'clock at night. B Parents have different opinions about this. Some believe that extra classes help their children get into a good university. Others worry that their children are always tired and have no time to play or rest. C In recent years, the government has made new rules to limit extra classes. For example, teachers cannot charge their own students for extra lessons at school. D However, the new rules have not solved the problem completely. Many families still pay for private teachers at home, because the entrance exams to top high schools and universities are very difficult.

Riverside University opened in 1998 with only 400 students. Today it has 12,500 students in six faculties, and its business school is the largest in the region. Professor Tran Thi Mai has been the president of the university since 2019. Tuition fees are 18 million dong per year, but every year the university gives scholarships to 300 students from poor families. The main library opens at 7 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m., and students can also borrow e-books online. The most popular extracurricular activity is the Green Club, which plants trees in the city every month.

Chia động từ ở thì hiện tại hoàn thành hoặc quá khứ đơn. Chú ý dấu hiệu: for/since/ever/yet hay mốc thời gian đã qua?

Bài 7 · Nói – Part 1

Speaking Part 1 — chủ đề học tập. Trả lời mỗi câu 2–3 câu, dùng ít nhất 3 câu hiện tại hoàn thành. Ghi âm và nghe lại.
