Vị trí trên bản đồ: at the end of, on the corner of, to the north of…
- at the end of / at the top of / at the bottom of + N The gym is at the end of the corridor.
- on the corner of / in the corner of + N The café is on the corner of the street.
- in the middle / centre of + N The pool is in the centre of the building.
- to the north / south / east / west of + N (bên ngoài) The car park is to the south of the gym.
- in the north / south … of + N (bên trong) The courts are in the north of the park.
- directly opposite / just past / halfway along + N
Dạng bài bản đồ trong Listening dùng rất nhiều cụm chỉ vị trí dài hơn opposite hay next to (đã học ở Buổi 3). Cần phân biệt: in the north of (nằm TRONG phần phía bắc của khu vực) và to the north of (nằm BÊN NGOÀI, về phía bắc). on the corner = góc ngoài (góc phố); in the corner = góc trong (góc phòng). Các từ như directly, just, halfway giúp chỉ vị trí chính xác hơn.

- Trên bản đồ thi IELTS, người nói thường dùng: 'As you come in…', 'Go past…', 'It's the first room on the right.'
- Thứ tự: the first / second / last building on the left.
- clockwise / anticlockwise = theo / ngược chiều kim đồng hồ.
